Administrative Support

Saoirse Prince

Saoirse joined HCA in 2022. She provides much needed administrative support for HCA. Like most of HCA’s workforce, Saoirse brings unusual skills. For instance, prior to HCA, she worked in the hospitality industry as a chef and is currently teaching piano alongside her work with HCA. This somewhat unconventional variety of skills allows her to approach administrative work with a creative as well as analytical mindset.

In the short period that Saoirse has been with HCA, she has been very important to achieving the objectives of several projects. For example, her work on the survey of community-managed mental health workforce for the MHCC ACT was significant to developing a dynamic, informative survey, and was critical to achieving a response rate of 63% (considered ‘excellent’). Other jobs she has provided valuable work for include the review of the NSW Interpreter Service, the iCare evaluation project for the HIA, and the ‘learning by doing’ review for SWSLHD.

In terms of administrative capabilities, Saoirse’s key competencies are a familiarity with crucial software and a willingness to embrace software challenges. She has more broadly a facility to pick up and master software and programs quickly, for both admin (e.g., accounting) and research (e.g., google scholar, ACCESS).

Her great love in life is music and more specifically the piano, and she will spend hours poring over the instrument. She is a composer who seeks to imbue neo-classical music with a romantic, passionate flair. She also has a love for reading, and great interest in spirituality and bird watching. In striving for a healthy equilibrium in life, Saoirse brings a youthful insight to HCA’s health consultancy work.
